YOU can make the lives of area children brighter this holiday season!
You're Invited to a Campaign Launch and Tree Lighting Ceremony
Houlihan's at Doubletree Hotel Springfield
Monday, November 21, at 6pm
Isabel's House Executive Director Francine Pratt recently spent time with Rosalie O'Reilly Wooten to learn more about her mother Isabel, for whom for Isabel's House is named. It was not surprising to learn that when Rosalie was in school, her house was the place where the local kids came after school. Rosalie's brothers would bring friends home to play basketball and Isabel would open her home and her heart with treats and lemonade. Isabel had a very giving heart and we continue to see that giving nature in the O'Reilly generations that have followed. Isabel's Tree is an example of that giving heart.
Houlihan's at Doubletree Hotel Springfield is hosting a special evening to light the first of many bulbs on two Isabel's Trees located at the area's Houlihan's restaurants. This special campaign launch featuring a tree lighting ceremony will be held Monday, November 21, at 6pm at Houlihan's at Doubletree (2431 N. Glenstone Ave.) Isabel's Tree is an opportunity to be a part of something special - this is a unique way to help those in need during emergency situations as we approach the holiday season. In addition to the bulb campaign, Tim and Brooke O'Reilly are giving 10% of this special evening's dinner and beverage proceeds (Houlihan's at Doubletree) to Isabel's House!
Each bulb lit on Isabel's Tree (at either Houlihan's South or Houlihan's at Doubletree) represents a $10 gift to Isabel's House. A $10 donation lights one bulb and provides meals for a child for one day. A $100 donation lights 10 bulbs and provides a full day's support for a child at Isabel's House. A $500 donation lights 50 bulbs and provides for a child's average length of stay at Isabel's House.
As a special thank you for your gift, Houlihan's will provide a holiday hot chocolate to participants at the kick-off celebration. "Isabel's House appreciates the generous support provided by both Springfield Houlihan's and the Doubletree Hotel. We are thankful for the opportunity to continue our service to provide immediate refuge for children while we strengthen families," said Francine Pratt, executive director of Isabel's House.
Donations of $100 or more may qualify for the Children in Crisis Tax Credit.* Isabel's House, the Crisis Nursery of the Ozarks, was selected as one of the qualified crisis nurseries to receive the Children in Crisis Tax Credit for the current calendar year.
