Isabel’s House serves hundreds of families in and around Springfield each year by offering 24/7/365 care to children ages birth to 12 when families are in crisis. As an Isabel’s House volunteer, you become a valued part of #TeamIsabel – reaching out to our community, assisting to raise funds and awareness, and – most importantly – helping children feel safe, secure and healthy during their stay.
Are you a teacher at heart? At Isabel’s House, you might be an expert homework buddy! Do you love to share your experiences as a parent or grandparent? At Isabel’s House, there’s a little baby who needs your loving arms. Did you write the family cookbook? At Isabel’s House, we feed each little mouth about 30 different meals during an average stay! Have you been involved in campaigns and public service projects? At Isabel’s House, we’re interacting with our community on a daily basis!
You have something great to offer our kids, and we want to invite you to come and be part of our mission to strengthen families and prevent child abuse and neglect.
To be considered for a volunteer position at Isabel’s House, please submit an inquiry to the office of Kory Wilcox, our Community Liaison, on or before:
- The week of May 15th, 2017
Take the next step and submit an inquiry today:
- Click here, or email email@example.com
- Please include your name, best contact information, and why you are interested in serving at Isabel’s House
- Note any associated groups or organizations, as well as any hours requirements you are trying to fulfill
- Be patient – our environment is confidential and secure, and our volunteer screening process* can take some time (but, it’s worth it!)
*Requirements may vary depending on your volunteer position, but all roles that include time spent inside our House will require state and federal background screenings, health screenings, character references, and a group orientation session.
Please note: Due to the nature of our work with children and families in crisis, Isabel’s House requests the minimum age to volunteer on site as 18 years of age or older. In addition, Isabel’s House is not a suitable site for short-term volunteering; we are currently not accepting applications for “Service Learning” or “Community Service” assignments with fewer than 40 hours to be fulfilled.
